Welcome to the 2008 Whitetailworld Big Buck Challenge.  This contest was started for the FUN of it!   This is a team competition.  Teams will be randomly selected.  Size of teams will be based on the number of entries.  What a great way to share in your successes and close encounters.  Read the list of rules below and click on the link "Sign Up Thread" to enter.  If you have any questions please let me know at johnd@whitetailworld.com. Here are the rules for the 2008 Whitetailworld Big Buck Challenge: 1. All whitetail deer must be taken legally and ethically according to the state you hunt. 2. This contest is for any legal method of harvesting deer.  Bucks harvested by bow and arrow will receive 15 bonus points.     3. Each team will consist of up to 10 randomly selected hunters. To be on a team you must be registered with whitetailworld.com. If you are not registered click here.  Sign up will end on September 7th. 4. Each member is allowed to enter 1 buck.  They can enter their first kill and later upgrade with a bigger buck. 5. Scores will be based on the Boone & Crockett scoring system.  Only gross scores are counted.  For information on scoring your rack check out the Boone & Crockett Scoring Calculator page or contact Pro Staff Member Mark Hughes at mark@whitetailworld.com. 6. To get your score counted for your team you must submit a picture to the Contest Result Page. The picture must include the proper tag (according to your state), yourself with your weapon, and the full-bodied buck. 7. Does shot by team members will count for 5 bonus points each.  Each member can count up to 2 does for team score.  You must submit a picture. 8. The total number of points per team will decide the winning team. 9. Only free roaming deer will count. Guided hunts are ok as long as they are free roaming. No penned deer for this contest. 10. Have fun! This contest should be fun for all involved and those who will follow. Any disputes will be resolved by the staff of whitetailworld.com 11.  By entering the challenge, you also agree for the reproduction and use of your photo by Whitetail World in future web publications and/or video productions. 12. Because this contest is for fun, the rules may be changed for the benefit of the contest. 13.
