Francis' 2010-11 Season

Well the season came to an end with it being my first season not harvesting a deer, but did get the bear. I was a little disappointed but I did pass up some deer so that's what I get. I lost a prime hunting spot I scouted all summer long with big bucks. I didn't see any mature bucks on stand this year and the last hunt of the year had some mis communication with my buddy and none of us shot the doe between us. lol. Had a lot of hard times this season but it was still fun and its time to put the work into next season! Gonna try and get the camera going, got a buddy to record with. Getting new bow soon, still working some days at bow shop just finished my new arrows. Got a property or two I'm gonna try and get onto and see what I can come up with. Did have one camera stolen so have to get money to replace that.

Some of my favorite pictures to last season.
Here's how my one spot is usually run by :sniffle:

Had this buck show up, had that cool sticker on his base but I think he got hit by a car.

Had this doe come in with the White feet and got busted drawing on her from behind.

From the property I lost

Shed hunt at Athens didn't amount to any shed's but found two skulls.

On another note, land owner said yote's are terrible and said I can come out and kill some. They have been keeping the dogs barking all night.

Congrats again on the bear. I hope things turn out better this year while your chasing whitetails. Looking forward to learning how your season goes.

I say you had a great season. I did not shoot a buck last season passed on several. The 8 pointer I passed on opening day I should have taken. We learn from our mistakes. Hope you have a great season this year.

You gave it an honest effort last year and it just didnt' happen for you. It's a bummerl, but it's reality of what hunting is. Booms and busts. Hopfully this next year will be a step back in the other direction and we'll see you holding a big ole rack again.

Well I just finished my arrows the other day.

My hunting arrows are white and red tiger stripe, white wrap and a red lumnock.

Practice shooting arrows for summer just went with green and blue

Well if anything els this year I got a new first. First trail camera picture of a buck with a drop. This year is already tough, with football it limits me to about one day a week if I'm lucky until the beginning of November. My buddy and I set up my camera at the farm he work for and got this nice buck on camera. It's a little to pressured but hey it's about all we got so going to give it a shot to see if one of us can bring him down and the rut should be fun.

Look's like the moon? Or is it something on the camera you think.
